Frequently asked
What is the Wyo Stays Trade Desk?
The Trade Desk is Wyo Stays' program for people who book lodging in Sheridan County, Wyoming on behalf of someone else: corporate travel managers, event and group planners, housing coordinators and travel advisors. Each account gets one point of contact at the desk and quotes built as full stay totals.
Do you publish trade rates?
No. Trade rates are quoted per account and per stay after you apply, because the home, the dates and the length of stay all change the number. Every quote shows the full stay total, with taxes on their own lines.
Can you house government travelers within per diem?
Yes. For federal travelers, Wyo Stays quotes lodging at or below the GSA per diem lodging rate for Sheridan, Wyoming, and shows the lodging total separately from taxes so it can be checked against the traveler's allowance. Tell us whether the stay is billed to an agency account or to the traveler's own government card, because the tax lines on the quote depend on it.
How are stays of 30 days or longer taxed in Wyoming?
Wyoming law defines a transient guest as one who stays less than thirty continuous days. A stay of 30 or more continuous days falls outside that definition, so the tax treatment changes, and your quote shows exactly which taxes apply. Longer placements run through the Wyo Stays Extended Stay desk.
Do you pay commission to travel advisors?
A program for travel advisors booking Wyo Stays short-term stays is being finalized. Advisors can join the waitlist on the Trade Desk page, and the terms will be sent when it opens.
Who runs the Trade Desk?
The Trade Desk is run by Wyo Stays, a licensed Wyoming real estate brokerage and property management company at 151 W Brundage St in Sheridan. Dalton Goodyear, the owner and a licensed Wyoming broker, oversees it.
