I didn't choose Sheridan.
Sheridan chose me.
Born in Buffalo, Wyoming. Raised in Sheridan. The kind of upbringing that gives you an unreasonable attachment to a specific stretch of highway where the Bighorns start to rise — and an equally unreasonable conviction that the people who live along it deserve better than what the outside world usually sends their way.
I started hosting guests in 2017. Not because I'd mapped out a business plan — because I had a property, a genuine belief that Sheridan deserved to be experienced properly, and an instinct that hospitality done right is one of the most honest things you can offer another person.
The first guest checked in. They left a review. They came back. That feedback loop — show up, do it right, earn the return — became the foundation of everything that followed.
Hospitality isn't about the amenities. It's about whether someone felt like they mattered to the people running the place. Everything else is just furniture.
Over the years I grew a portfolio — not just in Sheridan, but around the country. Working with other owners, helping people who had a property and a vision they couldn't quite execute alone. I've personally launched and scaled over 100 short-term rentals at this point.
Sheridan County was where it started — but the experience extends far beyond one county line. I managed properties in Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and across Wyoming. Every market taught me something. The beachfront condo in Florida taught me revenue optimization. The mountain cabin in Colorado taught me seasonality. Arizona taught me remote management at scale. But Wyoming is where all of it came home.
Today Wyo Stays operates across three Wyoming counties and expanding — bringing everything I learned in those other markets back to the state that raised me.
When I came home to Sheridan — settled down with my fiancée, our dogs running ahead on trails above town — I knew what I wanted to build. I just needed to build it right.
Hospitality Here Means Something Specific.
There are hidden waterfalls up the mountains behind Sheridan that aren't on any map. You find them on a dirt bike with friends who've lived here long enough to know where the unmarked two-tracks go. That knowledge — the knowledge that comes from belonging to a place — is what we try to give every guest.
Not a list of activities. Not a curated itinerary. The actual answer to "what's worth doing here" — from someone who was dirt biking those trails on a Saturday and is recommending that restaurant because they ate there last week, not because it has good reviews on TripAdvisor.
Hospitality at Wyo Stays means: the person who picked the mattress also slept on it. The person who wrote the welcome note has hiked the trail they're recommending. The person who answers at 10pm when something's wrong lives here.
My family are clients. My friends helped build this. When this community named me one of its 20 Under 40 entrepreneurs, that meant more than any platform certification ever could.

The backyard.

My Family Are Clients. My Friends Built This.
The team that runs Wyo Stays lives in Sheridan County. They care about it the same irrational, specific way I do. That's not a coincidence. That's how we hire.

The Neat Fleet
Cleaners & Inspectors
The team that walks every property before and after every stay. Hotel-grade turnovers, inspector-level detail, and the reason our review scores stay where they are. If a pillow is crooked, they know before you do.
The Ledger Leaders
Accountants, Bookkeepers & Data Specialists
The team that keeps us sharp. Nearly a decade of Wyoming STR data — occupancy rates, seasonal pricing curves, revenue benchmarks — collected, analyzed, and applied. Data doesn't lie. Neither do we.
If you're trying to decide whether to trust us — that's the right question.
I started this because I cared about hospitality before I cared about business. I built the legal structure because owners and guests deserved it — not because a platform required it. I earned the broker's license in 2022 because I knew what I was building and I wanted to build it right.
25,000+ guests have stayed with us. 4,168+ left a review because they wanted to. Most of them never thought about the broker's license or the trust accounting. They just know the stay was good and someone answered when they had a question.
That's the goal. Every time. For every guest. For every owner. For this town that raised me.
