    The house that taught Sheridan how to gather.

    Built in 1920, restored a century later, Gratitude sits on Residence Hill — the Sheridan neighborhood where the city's founding families built when the railroad first arrived. Six bedrooms upstairs. A formal parlor downstairs that opens to a dining room that opens to a wrap-around porch that opens to the kind of yard where cocktail hour wanders until somebody points at the stars.

    This is the room for the gathering that needs to feel like it earned itself. Bridal showers where everyone stays late. Rehearsal dinners with toasts from all four grandparents. Family reunions where the cousins remember each other again. Sleeps twelve, hosts up to sixty for a seated dinner. The house does the heavy lifting.

    Can we host the ceremony on-site?
    Yes. The wrap-around porch and yard work for ceremonies up to about 40 guests with a tented backup for weather. Larger ceremonies are better booked at venues like Clear Creek Crossing.
    Is the house available for full weekends or just event days?
    Both. Gratitude is most often booked as a 2–3 night gathering home — Friday rehearsal through Sunday brunch — but single-day rentals work for showers and smaller events.
    Can we cook on-site?
    Yes. Full kitchen with double ovens. Most clients still bring in a caterer for receptions — we'll introduce you to our preferred list.
    Is parking on-site?
    Yes — driveway plus street parking on Thurmond. Larger events overflow easily to the residential blocks without issue.
    What's the latest we can run live music?
    Indoor music after 10pm is fine. Outdoor amplified music wraps at 10pm out of respect for the neighborhood — and because the neighbors here are the people we run into at Frackelton's on Tuesday.
    Is the house pet-friendly for the wedding party?
    Generally yes — call us with specifics. The Victorian's original woodwork deserves a heads-up if the dog count is meaningful.
