- Dedicated venue and event pages, an instant quote tool and an inquiry pipeline, built and hosted at no charge.

The property

A lower-level space at 331 Broadway Street in downtown Sheridan. Exposed brick, a full cedar bar, a wood stove with a river-rock hearth, smart TVs and a sound system. Two businesses in one footprint: a 3-bedroom vacation rental (3 king beds, sleeps 8) and a private event room for up to 30 guests.
The tech
One codebase. No agency. Built and run by one operator with AI.
- Lodging: one listing record in Guesty pushed to 12 channels — Airbnb, Vrbo, two direct booking engines, and eight specialty and mid-term channels. Change it once, it changes everywhere.
- Event venue pages: prerendered static pages on wyostays.com, built in React and served from Vercel. Fast, crawlable, cheap to run.
- Instant quote tool: a tested pricing engine (daytime, weeknight and weekend rates; length discounts; holiday premiums; cleaning and deposit tiers). Renters see a real number before they ever send a message.
- Inquiry pipeline: two serverless functions — one takes inquiries, one checks availability — behind a spam guard. Every inquiry lands in the inbox with the details needed to quote.
- Search and AI visibility: EventVenue structured data, direct-answer content blocks, sitemap, an llms.txt entry and instant indexing pings. Built for Google and for answer engines.
- Monitoring: the pages sat inside a scheduled production health check that alerts on breakage.
- Photography: 18 real photos of the actual room. No stock, no AI.
Footprint: 63 files touched, about 2,400 lines of venue-specific code, 7 automated pricing tests.
Marketing and reach
- Owned: a venue page, an events page with quote tool, and placement in the wyostays.com venues index alongside our other event properties.
- Lodging channels: 12, managed from one place.
- Event marketplace: listed in two categories — one of only three private rooms in Sheridan on that marketplace.
- Local search: a Google Business Profile built to the venue-specific rules (primary category, no service area, appointment-only hours).
- Research as an asset: a full market study found that no private event room in Sheridan published a price, and no venue in town ran organized fight-night watch parties. Both were open positions.
What carries forward
- 1.
Build so you can leave in a day. Everything lived in code, a shared drive and one listing record. When the owner chose a different path, the archive and takedown took hours, not weeks.
- 2.
The research outlives the project. The market study, pricing model and quote tool carry straight into our other venues.
